Lyttelton RingPharm Pharmacy recently opened their new doors on the opposite side of the Lyttelton Centre in Centurion. The decision to move to the Cradock and Cantonment crossing was made as a result of the construction work being carried out at the Lyttelton Centre. We will look back fondly to the original premises opened and run by Arthur Eckard, a founding member of the RingPharm Pharmacy Group, and we are equally excited about the new and improved pharmacy.
During the move, Suster Sonja Slabbert, who is well known in the community for her knowledge, care and love of children, suggested donating all the toys during the move to Dove's Nest, a local place of safety for abandoned and HIV Positive Children.
Dove's Nest is a private place of safety for abandoned and HIV Positive children currently accommodating 15 children in their facility. Operating from her own home, Chairperson Isilda Felix took the first baby into her care in March 2001. Since then approximately 90 children have been provided for and successfully adopted thereafter.

"Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless into your house - when you see the naked that you cover him and that you hide not yourself from the needs of your own flesh and blood?"
Our mission is to welcome any child into our home without the concerns of financial restrictions and space. Our organisation's goal is to expand and care for any child that may come our way. Our place of safety operates from our own home; we believe that is very important that the children be in a family environment. Dove's Nest wish to express their sincerest gratitude towards Lyttelton Pharmacy for their unselfish gesture - the toys will bring endless joy to our children's hearts!
